October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and a Broken Arrow brewing company's new beer is intended to help with the fight against cancer.

"I always said if I was in a position to do something, I would do it," said Larry Foster.

Larry Foster is the owner of Nook Brewing Company.

The fight against breast cancer is personal for him since he lost his mother to it almost 40 years ago.

He wanted a way to combine his passion for brewing with helping against breast cancer.

"It was just us here at the brewery kind of saying, "what if?" said Foster.

That's when he decided to reach out to local breast cancer survivors like Heather Cobb.

"I'm a breast cancer survivor and I like beer. So, it just made sense," said Cobb.

Together, three survivors and Nook developed the style and recipe for the new Blackberry Coriander Saison.

B-C-S -- honoring Breast Cancer Survivors.

Cobb said giving back is absolutely a no-brainer.

"To be able to participate and be a part of something that then will help future generations. Even help future generations hopefully not have to deal with this as we research to look for a cure," said Cobb.

A donation of one dollar per pint will be given to Race for the Cure, News On 6's LeAnne Taylor's team.

The money raised will fund national research, local programs for survivors, and creating more access to treatment.

"Come on down, have a beer, and help us donate to the cause," said Foster.
