Storms in Anadarko knocked out power for the city. Here is a look at some of the damage residents are waking up to.
Severe storms produced several brief tornadoes in southwestern, central and east-central Oklahoma Sunday evening causing isolated damage before moving toward Tulsa.
In the town of Amber, in Grady County, power poles were snapped east of town along County Road 1300. A fire department official told News 9 that a shop was damaged as well as a house and the old grain silo in town. That silo is located near Main and Highway 92.
Power outages were also reported across the state. As of 9:20, there were 10,000 OG&E customers without power.
The tornadic storm moved from Grady County to Cleveland County, bringing with it a lot of hail and heavy winds, especially on the east side of Norman. News 9 viewers at Porter Avenue and Main Street sent us photos of blown-out windows. News 9 reporter August McDonnell reports blown out windows along parts of East Main in Norman.
