Four death row inmates, including Julius Jones, are asking a federal court to temporarily delay their upcoming executions.

Attorneys for Jones, John Grant, Donald Grant and Gilbert Postelle have now filed a motion for a preliminary injunction.

They allege the state promised not to carry out executions until an inmates' case is complete.

They also said the inmates' eighth amendment rights, barring cruel and unusual punishment, are being violated.

The judge said he will hear this motion Monday morning at 9.
