The John 3:16 Mission and Salvation Army’s Center of Hope are now operating as warming stations for people who need to get out of the cold.

Both locations are reporting an increase in people visiting in the recent cold patches.

Rev. Steve Whitaker with John 3:16 Mission says many people are still struggling from the pandemic and are impacted by things like the rise in food prices and the recent ending of the eviction moratorium. He says last February’s brutal winter storm took a toll on a lot of people and wants everyone to know of this resource to keep people warm. John 3:16 and the Center of Hope are located in downtown Tulsa and open 24/7.

Inside the centers, people can make a phone call, charge their devices or get other resources like a meal.

John 3:16 is also accepting gently-used coats and blankets to give to people in need.
