Convenience Store Clerk Shot In Coweta; Police Searching For Suspect

A convenience store clerk in Coweta was shot and injured late Saturday, police said.

The incident happened at the Kum & Go store location at 151st Street and Highway 72. Police said the robber fired multiple times, hitting the clerk. The clerk was taken to a Tulsa hospital.

Police described the suspect as "an adult white or light-skinned male," standing about 5-feet, 9-inches tall, wearing mostly black clothing and brightly colored shoes.

Coweta Police and Wagoner County Sheriff's Office deputies are being aided by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation in the search for the robber.
