The Delta Gamma sorority on the University of Oklahoma campus is under fire for alleged hazing. The sorority is currently under limited status.
News 9 reached out to the Delta Gamma national office about the allegations its OU chapter is facing.
"Delta Gamma Fraternity is working closely with the university to investigate allegations of disrespectful behaviors within our chapter at the University of Oklahoma. During this time, the chapter has been placed on a limited status. We take all allegations seriously and are conducting a thorough investigation to ensure all members of our local chapter are living the values of Delta Gamma."
The University of Oklahoma also issued this statement:
The university was recently made aware of an assessment completed by Delta Gamma international executive office. Due to the assessment’s findings, the Delta Gamma international executive office has placed the OU Delta Gamma chapter on limited status.
The allegations are under review by OU Fraternity and Sorority Programs and Services and the Office of Student Conduct. The university is working closely with Delta Gamma to conduct an investigation. Upon the conclusion of the investigation, the university will address the matter as appropriate.
