Three Tulsa International Airport police officers and a dispatcher are receiving recognition for their actions while responding to a shooting at the airport last November.
Officer Wayne McClure says his bulletproof vest saved his life that night and that he didn't even know he was shot until later. TIA's police department is recognizing the three responding officers and the dispatcher from the night of November 30th when police got into a shoot-out with Joseph Watson.

Police say Watson went to the airport to shoot his wife and began shooting at officers. One of those bullets hit Officer Wayne McClure. He says since the shooting, Watson has reached out to him to apologize.
"All I want to say is that if you're watching this I forgave you the moment I put those handcuffs on you. I wasn't angry with you, I'm more so praying for you and you're mental stability at this point," said Officer McClure.
