Construction on Highway US-60 in Osage County will soon affect drivers. A five-mile stretch of Highway 60 near the Osage Hills State Park is about to be under construction for a little over two years.
ODOT said they are repaving and straightening out part of the highway that curves between the state park and Bartlesville.
Starting in about 3 to 4 weeks, the stretch will go down to one lane with either a traffic light or pilot car guiding drivers through. The $30 million project is part of an ongoing effort to reconstruct the US-60 corridor between Pawhuska and Bartlesville.
The entrance to the state park will remain open during the project, which is expected to wrap up in the summer of 2024.
