There’s a new space in Tulsa where you can hold special events like weddings or birthday parties. It’s called the Red Fork Depot.
The brand new facility is located just south of downtown in Tulsa’s Historic Route 66 Village.
Executive Director Alexander Tyler says the event space can hold up to 252 people and is perfect for a retirement party, business meeting, baby shower or wedding reception.
The venue cost $3.5 million to build and is 5,000 square feet. It also features a full-size chef’s kitchen.
Tyler says what makes this venue unique is that it’s a replica of a train depot and was built right next to the Route 66 Village’s steam engine.
“This is more than just a building,” said Alexander Tyler, the Director of the Route 66 Village Depot. “This is somebody’s vision. Somebody said ‘hey, let’s start out with this train’ and before you know it, it turned into a visitors center, before you know it would turn into a depot, so it’s growing and growing. This is not your average venue. This is a place where you are going to create memories.”
You can rent the facility any day of the week and prices vary depending on the day.
