Pryor Public Schools is hosting a community meeting on Monday for people interested in learning more about an $81 million bond issue up for a vote next week.

Monday night is the first of two meetings to discuss the proposal.

The bond includes renovations for two elementary schools, new classrooms in the middle schools, and an addition to the high school to connect the gym. It also includes new textbooks, band instruments, technology upgrades and a brand new football stadium across from the high school.

The bond needs 60% support from voters to pass.

Pryor Schools says the bond is the final stage of a long-term plan to improve the district.

Monday’s meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Education Service Center and election day is Tuesday, April 5th.
