The Tulsa Farmers' Market is back this weekend with more than a dozen new vendors!

"We kind of like to think of it as the heart of the community," said Kris Hutto, Executive Director of The Tulsa Farmers' Market.

If you're in town on a Saturday morning, the Tulsa Farmers Market is the place to be -- no work, gorgeous weather, and nothing but local, local, local!

"Our market started with just a handful of vendors in 1998 -- in the Jason's Deli Parking lot and it has grown to be the largest farmers market in the state," said Hutto.

That is the thing about Oklahoma - this state has pride in who they are, what they love, and the products made and grown in this soil.

"Our product is 100% grass fed and grass finished. It is beyond organic. We do not use any hormones. No pesticides. No herbicides are used on our ranch. If you are looking for whole foods that are as a natural as can be--this, is it," said Austin Blenden with Big Grass Beef.

Big Grass Beef is one of 20 new vendors hitting Kendall Whitter this Saturday, April 2.

"There is nothing else that is more sustainable than helping individuals feed themselves, and individuals helping communities feed themselves," said Blenden.

Austin will be working right along other Oklahoma vendors like Okie Skies & Fireflies.

"I make organic herbal remedies," said Rashel Hudson, with Okie Skies & Fireflies, "It is so overwhelming to really know how to make a good, educated choice on good wellness product for your family and when I get to help them not only make a wise choice but an affordable one."

Where you see, Rashel, you will see Rashel's kids. They love to help her run the business! "They have always been in the kitchen with me," said Hudson.

The 25th season of the Tulsa Farmers Market with kick off on Saturday, April 2. New vendors include local wineries, breweries, fresh markets, and farms. Organizers say the market is growing, right along with Tulsa!

"It is like one big happy family at the farmers market....beautiful sights and scents and flavors! All good things are at the farmer's market!" said Hutto.
