With Easter just around the corner, Glacier Chocolate is hosting an Easter Egg Piñata Class.
It's something good and tasty that is sure to be a smashing time. Each chocolate egg is filled with a surprise inside for a delicious and interactive treat. Glacier Chocolate Chef Gene Leiterman says Easter is one of his favorite holidays for chocolatiers. He says each side of the chocolate egg is made from a mold. In the class, he'll teach people how the egg is sealed together.
Each person will get to splatter paint their egg with chocolate before smashing it for the hidden treat. The eggs are filled with lots of small chocolate eggs and one special guest will find a gift card in theirs. There will also be a special guest at the store this weekend. The Easter Bunny is visiting both Glacier locations. Leiterman says edible crafts like this pinata egg allow people to show creativity and have fun.
"I think the fun part about it is no two eggs look alike. So, everybody puts a little bit of their personality when they splash color on the eggs. And then of course, it's all about the smash. That's the fun part,” Leiterman said.
You can also buy the pinata eggs at the stores and there are plenty of other Easter treats.
The class is at Glacier Chocolate + Coffee in South Tulsa on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. for ages 12 and up.
