You can take a step back in time to the age of the dinosaurs at the Tulsa Zoo.

The Zoorassic World Exhibit opened Monday, an immersive exhibit with life-sized dinosaurs. The dinosaurs move and make noise creating a realistic experience. Near the entrance of the Zoorassic World Exhibit, you'll be greeted with a roar from a T-Rex. The dinosaurs were built based on the most recent, updated scientific knowledge. For example, some may sound like birds or have feathers.

Walking down the path surrounded by plants and trees, and listening to the chirps and roars, it's like going back in time. 25 dinosaurs from three different eras are represented. The brachiosaurus is 35-feet-tall and 65-feet-long.

On Saturdays, you can take a guided walking tour to learn more in-depth facts about each dinosaur. There is also a dig pit where you can uncover fossils in sand.

"We also are going to be doing daily animal chats in here at 10:30 a.m. and that will be with our educational animals like Pokey here, so the kids can come and get a close-up look and meet one of our ambassadors,” said Kaylyn Compton, Director of Education.

The exhibit is open through Labor Day.
