The City of Wynnewood is addressing an incident at a local Dollar General on June 29.

According to the release, officers were called to the store after employees found blood and other medical waste in a restroom.

The employees reported that the waste was possibly related to a miscarriage.

The responding officer determined that a crime was not committed and no criminal intent was present. Due to this, the investigation was concluded.

The city says they were made aware of the incident and placed the officer on leave while an internal investigation was conducted. The officer has been reinstated to active duty.

The city claims the district attorney's office did not find evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

Garvin County District Attorney Greg Mashburn has disputed that claim, telling News 9 that the deputy chief of police called and asked a few questions but never presented an investigation or gave a full statement of the facts.
