Driver Leads Police On Chase After Allegedly Trying To Steal From NW OKC Gas Station

A man has been arrested after leading officers on a chase Friday afternoon in the southeast part of the Oklahoma City metro.

A police pursuit ended with a crash Friday afternoon in the southeast part of the Oklahoma City metro.

Oklahoma City Police said everything began at the OnCue at Northwest 10th Street and North Portland Avenue when an officer confronted the man for allegedly stealing from the store.

The suspect, Daniel Woods, got into his car and allegedly tried to run the officer over, police said.

Bob Mills SkyNews 9 was over the scene when the vehicle crashed and rolled multiple times, which happened on Eastern Avenue between Southeast 59th Street and Interstate 240.

The suspect was transported to an area hospital to be checked out.

Woods is being booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on multiple complaints, including aggravated assault and battery on a police officer and felony eluding.
