1 Dead After Shooting In SW OKC; No Arrests Made

Oklahoma City Police responded to the scene of a shooting that happened at around 3 a.m. in the western part of the city.

One person is dead after a shooting early Wednesday morning in southwest Oklahoma City, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Police said the shooting happened at around 3:06 a.m. near the intersection of Interstate 40 and South MacArthur Boulevard.

A security guard at a hotel in the area called police after he reported hearing gunshots, according to police.

Police said they found a victim critically injured on scene, and they were transported to the hospital where they later died.

Investigators said they learned that the victim was involved in a disturbance that resulted in him being shot.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, police said.

Police have not identified the victim.
