Scene Cleared After Suspicious Package Found In Downtown OKC

UPDATE (6:30pm) | The scene has been cleared by the Oklahoma City police. The surrounding streets have been reopened.

The Oklahoma City Police and Fire Department are responding to a suspicious package near Northwest 2nd Street and Classen Boulevard.

The bomb squad is being called out to clear the scene.

The authorities have blocked off 1st, 2nd, and 3rd streets.

The Oklahoma City Police Department said a person experiencing homelessness found what appeared to be a pipe bomb.
