Oklahoma Lawmakers Urge State Superintendent To Hire Federal Programs Director

Oklahoma state lawmakers are urging State Superintendent Ryan Walters to hire a director of federal programs for the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

The position would ensure state requests for federal funding get submitted by their deadlines.

Rep. Mark McBride (R) Rep. Rhonda Baker (R) said education leaders across the state worry about having the funds to properly serve their students needs.
