Sauced On The Paseo Re-Opens 2 Years After Fire

The Paseo District has welcomed back a favorite pizza joint. Sauced on Paseo closed their doors in 2021 due to an attic fire that caused thousands in damage.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department said that caused roughly $50,000 in damages. The restaurant shut down for two years and took time to rebuild.

The cause of the fire was never determined, according to OKC Fire.

Sauced on Paseo is under the new ownership of Humankind Hospitality . The company owns several other restaurants in the Paseo district, including Friday Southwest and Picasso Café.

“We kind of all revolved it around the old style and for some of us, that means back in the 80s, it feels like that old pizza spot where you can be with family and join in around the table," says Robert painter, general manager of Sauced on Paseo.

Painter tells News 9 Sauced on Paseo has trained a brand-new team and some were former Sauced regulars.

Sauced on Paseo is now open to the public.
