Kiefer Public Schools will be closed on Monday following ongoing threats made by a woman named Mary Braiser.
Braiser bonded out of jail last week and sent threatening messages that led to Kiefer Schools going on lockdown last Tuesday and canceling classes altogether on Friday.
Brasier is charged with sending threatening messages to two of her former bosses and specifically threatening the bosses' young children. She was arrested and prosecutors say within an hour of her release, she sent the victims more than 100 messages.
Kiefer Superintendent Randy Shaw says the school was specifically targeted in a social media post, so they decided not having students on campus was the best decision. Shaw says the district is working with authorities to resolve the issue and ensure the safety of its students and staff.
Brasier's original bond was $12,000, but, at a hearing on Monday, prosecutors will ask for no bond.
