The City of Broken Arrow wants its citizens to help it improve the function and appearance of city streets. The city is working to provide safe and equitable transportation for everyone in the city, which is why it has started a comprehensive plan to study the future of streetscapes and city streets.

Residents can give their input through a city survey which will allow Broken Arrow city officials to get a better understanding of what residents would like to see in regard to the city's streets.

This survey covers things from sidewalks to bike paths, to safe parking and driving lanes. Walkability is important for the city, but so are other forms of travel.

"Of course, walkability is the main goal right now, but we do have a lot of people riding bicycles and scooters and things of that nature so we need to kind of study all that and present it to our committees," Farhad Daroga, Placemaking Manager for the City of Broken Arrow said.

The city hopes that with public input and support, these potential projects would have a chance to move forward faster.

"Certainly it will help move along with these projects in the future. It will also help all kinds of traffic, all kinds of modes making roads safer, and also add aesthetics to the streetscape of the city," Daroga said.

Broken Arrow residents can fill out the 'Streets for All People Project' by Clicking Here or by getting a physical copy from the city.
