Authorities in Lincoln County are searching for a suspect accused of a random shooting that injured a teenager on Sunday.

The Lincoln County sheriff says the suspect was a man armed with a 12-gauge shotgun who walked across the front lawn of a home near Chandler and fired through the front door.

Authorities said the teenager was on the other side of the door and hit in the leg. The victim has been taken to the hospital.

The suspect, according to the sheriff, ran off into the woods and now multiple agencies are searching for him.

They say he's described as a white male in his 40s wearing a tan shirt and camo pants.

The sheriff said this was a random shooting and there's no clear evidence why the home was targeted.
