Oklahoma law enforcement agencies encourage families to enter their DNA into a national missing persons database.
Seven state agencies provided free DNA testing during Oklahoma Missing Persons Day at the University of Central Oklahoma over the weekend.
The goal: get more samples into a national database called NamUs in order to find answers to Oklahoma's 697 missing person cases.
“We want to help law enforcement,” physical anthropologist Angela Berg said. “It helps them with their cases as well."
