Scattered showers and storms this morning across western Oklahoma. These will track east slowly through the day with best rain chances in the Oklahoma City metro mid-morning through noon.
Highs Wednesday in the 60s and 70s. At night, a few additional storms are possible with lows in the 50s.
Tomorrow the risk for numerous severe storms increases. A dryline sets up in western Oklahoma. Gulf moisture will increase ahead of this boundary, strong jet stream winds ramp up overhead.
As the heating of the day gets going, look for several storms to take off. These storms will rotate due to the low-level shear. This will allow their updrafts to sustain large hail!
Some storms could produce golf ball and even tennis ball size hail. Damaging winds to 75 mph will be possible.
The overall tornado threat is low on Thursday, but each storm will need to be monitored very closely. Our team of trackers will be out, and we will bring you live updates.
