'This Is The First Time I've Experienced This': Several Structures In Noble Damaged From Tornadoes

Multiple businesses and homes near Etowah and Main Street sustained some damage. The roofs to many businesses were ripped off by the powerful storms.

Loyd Superette said they closed shop about five minutes before the storm came by. When he got back after the storm he was shocked to see the devastation. All of their gas pumps are out of order and the store is completely without power.

“This is the first time this has happened to me. It happened a few times in Noble where we got warnings and all, but it never happened to us. It happened to us this time. Now I can feel the pain of what other people like go through when this happens to them,” Bobby Sharma said.

Sharma hopes to reopen in a month. Businesses owners weren't the only ones cleaning up, there were homeowners as well.

Linda Edmondson said she was home with her husband and dog when the storm hit. They said when they went outside their front porch was in the backyard and their fence was knocked down. Now, most of the damage was to her husband's shop. The sides and the roof were ripped off and there's water damage. She said it's going to have to be demolished, but they're not sure about rebuilding just yet.

“It would take almost all of our savings and we don't have much income coming in because we're retired just our social security and veterans and that's not much to live on,” Edmondson said.

Edmondson said all of this stuff is just material items. What matters is no one was found hurt or injured.

Like many businesses they're also waiting for their insurance company to come take a look at their damage.
