Developer Scraps Plans For Shopping Center, Hotel Along Route 66

Plans have been scrapped for a hotel and shopping center along Route 66.

The shopping center was supposed to be built at Southwest Boulevard and Riverside, but the developer says it was too expensive to proceed with the project.

The City of Tulsa wants to open something at that site in time for the Route 66 centennial in 2026.
