Public Service Company of Oklahoma customers in the Tulsa metro can expect power to be restored before 5 p.m. Saturday.

The dangerous combination of no power and a heat advisory in Green Country has the American Red Cross warning residents to stay alert and utilize cooling stations if needed.

Those without power may also be wondering what it means for the food in their refrigerators.

Outages:

  1. PSO crews and businesses are working to restore power safely. This is going to be a multi-day effort. More than one-third of our customers have been impacted by the storm. Estimated times of restoration for customers whose property is in condition to accept electricity are as follows.
  2. Idabel - 2 p.m. Monday
  3. Tulsa Rural (Chouteau, Vinita, Grove) - 5 p.m. Wednesday
  4. Tulsa Metro - 5 p.m. Saturday
  5. The majority of customers should be restored before 5 p.m. Saturday
  6. Please keep in mind we are unable to connect service if the weatherhead on your house is broken or damaged.
  7. As of 10 a.m. Monday, outages are concentrated in the Tulsa area and approximately 165,000 customers remain without power. PSO is experiencing the most significant restoration event since the 2007 ice storm.

Officials from PSO say crews from all over the country, including as far as New Jersey and Delaware, are in Tulsa to help with the recovery and restoration.
