A metro organization is making sure kids are equipped with what they need before the school year starts.
Kids come to the Cleats for Kids locker room in Oklahoma City to pick out anything when it comes to athletics: cleats, running shoes, baseball bats, football pants, they have it all.
It comes at no cost for any and every Oklahoma kid, all the way through high school.
As students gear up for the first day back, the staff said they see so many people making appointments to pick up everything they need.
The organization's president said the kids' reactions show it’s about more than just a new pair of shoes.
Cleats for Kids can't do it without the community's help.
You can donate through bins scattered across the metro. For more information, click here.
