Shawnee Man Sentenced In Child Pornography Case

A man from Shawnee has been sentenced to 40 years in federal prison for producing child pornography.

Bruce Jackson Moore, 47, has also been previously convicted for abusing a different young child, but he never registered as a sex offender.

Moore, according to records, shared images of himself engaging in sexual acts with a three-year-old on social media through direct message around 2021 to 2022.

In May of 2022, a federal grand jury indicted Moore with one count of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of commission of a felony offense involving a minor as a registered sex offender.

In January, Moore pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child.
