Hearing To Evaluate Mental Status Of Enid Man Charged With Rape And Murder

An Enid man charged with raping and murdering a 2-year-old girl will go before a Garfield County judge Friday morning.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health deemed Michael Geiger incompetent to stand trial last month.

Officials said he didn't understand his legal situation but treatment could stabilize his mental state.

The hearing will evaluate Geiger's current mental status.
