Social Media Threat Targeting Pauls Valley School Leads Police To Juvenile

An alleged threat that was made on Snapchat to Pauls Valley High School on Sunday resulted in police questioning and requesting felony charges against a juvenile.

The Pauls Valley Police Department said school administrators notified them of the threat via an anonymous tip of a screen recording on the social media app.

PVPD said the juvenile made a "threatening statement" that included the use of an incendiary device.

A Pauls Valley detective made contact with the juvenile and their parents, where a mental evaluation was performed.

The Pauls Valley Police Department has requested a felony charge against the juvenile.

Pauls Valley Public Schools said classes will still start on Thursday with an increased police presence.
