Midwest City Man Accused Of Having Hundreds Of Photos, Videos Of Child Pornography On Phone

A Midwest City man has been arrested and is accused of having hundreds of photos and videos of child pornography on his phone, according to court documents.

Oklahoma County District Court documents said Robert Alger, 69, was arrested on the complaint of using a telecommunication device to solicit sex from a minor before a search warrant was completed on his phone.

Alger is now facing the charge of aggravated possession of child pornography, according to the documents.

An organization called Predator Poachers contacted the Midwest City Police Department about what they uncovered.

The organization supplied a female decoy who was portrayed as an 11-year-old on Facebook, and Alger had communicated with her since July 6, 2023, the documents said.

The messages became sexually graphic, and the documents claim Alger would video chat with the decoy.

Alger was interviewed by police at his work where officers showed him pictures of the explicit messages with the decoy. He stated it was him before claiming he was speaking with a 25-year-old female for a while, according to the documents.

Police told Alger the decoy said they were 11 years old during the conversation, the documents said.

Alger was then arrested and booked into the Midwest City Jail on the complaint of using a telecommunication device to solicit sex from a minor.

A search warrant led to the contents of his phone to be extracted, and police said they found around 500 photos and 500 videos of child pornography, the documents said.
