Extra security measures are in place for Thursday’s Del City football game.
The Mid-Del School district had already added security measures for home games, even before last week's shooting at the Choctaw-Del City game.
Law enforcement was on site setting up the weapon detection system, and this is one of many additions to their safety protocols…
There will be 28 law enforcement officers and police presence at Friday night's Del City game.
There will be no re-entry tonight, students must have an ID present at all times, all fans must be in a seat during the game, and only clear bags will be allowed.

This week, Mid Del’s superintendent Dr.Rick Cobb sent a letter to the OSSAA requesting they set minimum security measures for high school games. "Wherever you are in Oklahoma, this can happen there. Violence is not a problem isolated to certain communities. This is where the OSSAA needs to step in and help," Cobb said.
