Demolition began today on a local church that burned down in April after a person set it on fire.
Back then, the Pastor said the fire wasn't the end of his church, and now he's keeping that promise.

“We're ready for it to come down,” said Pastor Marty Alvarodo. “I'm ready to see a clean slate over here."
Five months ago, disaster struck the God of No Limits Church. The church was declared a total loss after a three-alarm fire tore through the building.
A portrait of Jesus was one of the only things untouched by the flames.
"No matter what, we're going to rebuild," Pastor Marty said. "We've got a sign coming that'll go over this one that'll say we're coming back, we're not gone, we're coming back."
Pastor Marty says the demolition should take about three days, but they plan to rebuild in the exact spot it burned down.
"We want to be on this property and, Lord willing, that's where we'll be," he said.
The fire may have claimed their building, but it didn't claim their spark.
"We're actually doing more ministry now since the fire than we ever did before," Pastor Marty explained. "We've got drive through prayer that we'll be doing in a few weeks and just things where the community knows that we're still here."
Pastor Marty says there's a silver lining to it all, and they are reaching further into the community, outside the bounds of their sanctuary.
"Our people are able to see what it's all about, what service is all about," he said. "It's not about coming to church to sit in a chair. It's about coming to create a relationship with Christ and then go out and help others."
But seeing the burned walls finally come down still brings closure for the God of No Limits Church.
"This is a new beginning for us,” said Pastor Marty. "God's got us. He's going to take care of us."
