Oklahoma City Police were involved in a pursuit Friday afternoon.
It all started with an attempted traffic stop.
But now it has ended with two people being detained and at least one gun being recovered from inside the car.
What started as a slower chase, eventually reached speeds of almost 80 to 90 miles per hour.
According to police, the pursuit started along westbound 39th Street.
Jim Gardner in Bob Mills Sky News 9 caught up to the chase as it headed west.
At one point, it even went through Yukon.
OHP attempted a tactical vehicle intervention.
Minutes later -- law enforcement started to try again, but the truck sped away even faster.
At one point -- the truck involved drove against oncoming traffic.
But it all eventually came to a sudden and unexpected but peaceful end.
Police recovered this gun inside the vehicle.
It was eventually towed from off the shoulder of I-40 near Rockwell.
The chase lasted around 40 minutes, ending when it seemed like the suspect's vehicle ran out of gas on interstate 40 eastbound near Rockwell.
Authorities apprehended the driver of the Ford F-150, as well as a female passenger in the vehicle.
OCPD stated the female passenger was taken downtown, but not arrested.
OCPD confirmed to News 9 that the suspect has warrants.
