A Blaine County deputy was injured after shooting their own leg on Tuesday, Sheriff Travis Daughterty said.
Deputies were pursuing a suspect in a stolen vehicle on Tuesday morning, the sheriff said.
A deputy drew their weapon, but did not fire at the suspect, according to the chief.
As the deputy was holstering their weapon, they shot their own leg, the sheriff said.
The deputy is expected to be OK and was being treated at OU Medical Center, the sheriff said.
The sheriff did not share the deputy's name. There are no other details on the pursuit at this time.
