Oklahoma City scored four runs in the bottom of the 9th inning against Norfolk in the Triple A National Championship, but ultimately came up a run short, losing 7-6 on Saturday night.

The Dodgers won the Pacific Coast League, the first championship for an Oklahoma City minor league baseball team since 1996. It was the first Triple A league championship for a Dodgers' affiliate since 1994 when the Albuquerque Dukes won.

OKC was leading 2-1 into the 7th inning when Norfolk loaded the bases. Colton Cowser cleared them with a grand slam to center field for a 5-2 lead. Connor Norby extended that lead to 7-2 in the 9th inning with a 2-run homer.

That's when the Dodgers rallied.

Drew Avans connected on an RBI single, and then Michael Busch smashed a 2-run homer to right with two outs.

Miguel Vargas followed that with a home run to left field. Vargas went 2-for-5 with a double, home run and scored two runs Saturday.

Busch went 2-for-4 with a double, home run and two RBI, closing the Triple-A season on a 12-game hitting streak between the regular season and postseason. During the streak, Busch went 17-for-45 (.378) with nine extra-base hits, 13 RBI and 11 runs scored. He homered in five of his last seven games. He also led the Dodgers with five RBI in the postseason.
