Family and friends of an Oklahoma City man want his death to save others. Police said William Klein, 32, died from an overdose of Fentanyl earlier this month. Two people were arrested over the weekend and now face murder complaints.

Klein’s closest friend told News 9 the woman named in court documents targeted Klein knowing he was in his early days of sobriety. Abby Johnson, 23, and a man were arrested on Friday at a gas station in Edmond during an undercover drug bust.

Klein left behind shoes, clothes, and a guitar when he left a metro sober living home in early October after admitting to buying and using Fentanyl. Emake Fisher never thought that would be the last time he would speak to his friend.

“William was more than just a resident here,” said Emake Fisher, the victim’s friend. “He was like my best friend. He was a brother to me.”

Klein went missing for two days. He was found dead from a drug overdose inside a northwest Oklahoma City Holiday Inn hotel room where he worked. Fisher was there when first responders showed up.

“I thought that if I made it up there before they got there it wouldn’t be for him maybe,” said

Fisher was the one to call Klein's mother. A mother who watched her son struggle with addiction for years.

“My son is just a small portion of this, and we need to get awareness out there and we need to make sure people know there is help and there are people to turn to,” said Danielle Harland, the victim’s mother. “It’s a war and we need to go to battle for our loved ones.”

Harland and her son's friends had mixed emotions when they heard police arrested 23-year-old Austin Gooch and Johnson for selling the victim Fentanyl.

“I don’t know who he is, but I know who she is and I’m disgusted at somebody that could,” said Fisher. “A shark, like hunting for people to murder with this drug.”

Gooch and Johnson both face first-degree murder complaints along with complaints of drug trafficking.
