An Oklahoma City veteran says his trailer was stolen after the storage facility it was parked at left the gates open for days on end.
Surveillance footage shows a red truck entering the facility and leaving shortly after, with a blue 22-foot trailer in tow.
"It was a pretty rough feeling knowing everything we put into it," Air National Guard veteran trailer owner Kevin Benson said.
Benson said the trailer had two locks on it that had to have been removed in order to tow it, but when Benson went to pick up his trailer, the only thing left was a screwdriver and socket.
"This guy drove in and took what wasn't his," said Benson. "It's a very small pickup truck pulling a large, bright blue trailer. I'm hoping someone sees it."
The gates to the storage facility were open for three days, according to Benson, and though a report was filed with Oklahoma City Police, Benson was told that officers can't do anything until a VIN number comes back or someone spots the trailer
News 9 reached out to the storage facility multiple times but did not receive a response.
If you recognize Benson's trailer, please call Oklahoma City Police.
