Oklahoma Wide Receiver Arrested In Traffic Stop

A University of Oklahoma football player was arrested Thursday, police confirmed to News 9.

Wide receiver Jalil Farooq was arrested on a traffic-related charge, according to police reports. 

A Norman police officer initiated a traffic stop on Farooq for an expired paper tag and erratic driving. 

According to reports, Farooq had several outstanding municipal warrants and was arrested without incident.
