OKC Zoo Safari Lights Nominated For Best Zoo Lights

The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden’s holiday light experience, OKC Zoo Safari Lights, presented by OG&E, recently earned the honor of being nominated for USA Today's 10Best 2023 Readers’ Choice Travel Awards for Best Zoo Lights.

Nationwide voting to determine if OKC Zoo Safari Lights earns the distinction of being named America’s Best Zoo Lights. Voting is live through Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

Participants can vote once a day for the run of the contest. The winners will be announced on 10Best on Friday, December 8. 

“We couldn’t be prouder to be nominated for this 10Best Travel award,” said Dwight Lawson, OKC Zoo’s executive director and CEO. “The team at the Oklahoma City Zoo and Tianyu Culture have worked tirelessly to create a new holiday light experience every year that celebrates the season as well as the wildlife in our care.”

The light show returns on November 11 and runs nightly through New Year’s Day, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. 

Online reservations are required and can be made at okczoo.org/safari-lights. Tickets are $70/vehicle ($60 for ZOOfriends) and include up to 4 walk-thru admission tickets. Walk-thru-only tickets are $16/guest ($14 for ZOOfriends) ages 3 and older.
