Bethany Home Likely A Total Loss After Fire

Crews were on the scene of a large fire at a home near Northwest 16th and Rockwell in Bethany.

A neighbor reported the fire around 4 a.m. Monday morning, Bethany FD said the home was already fully involved when emergency crews arrived. Firefighters from Warr Acres and Yukon were also assisting with the fire.

The back side of the house was completely engulfed, and crews worked to ensure the fire doesn't spread any further. The cause of the fire is unknown but investigators say it may have started in the attic.

"We've not been able to make our way inside very far due to the stability. The roof is completely gone and come through the ceiling. We're hitting hotspots under the roof," said Billy Greenwood with Bethany Fire early this morning.

The residents were not home and there are no reported injuries at this time.
