An argument over guardianship led to an altercation in southern Oklahoma in which a 14-year-old boy was assaulted, according to an affidavit.
Debra Rapier, 65, was arrested and has now been charged on several counts of assault and battery and child abuse after the altercation with the teen and an adult woman in October.
The document filed in Jefferson County reveals on October 28, police responded to an incident at Ringling High School where Rapier reportedly grabbed the minor by the hood of his sweatshirt and was grabbing, punching, and pulling the boy.
Videos obtained by police showed her stabbing the boy with a kubotan, a Japanese martial arts weapon that caused scratches on the boy’s ribs.
One of the assault and battery counts Rapier is facing is against a woman named Kendra Bunch. The affidavit says Bunch claims Rapier attacked her by grabbing her by her hair and pulling her down.
The officer who responded to the incident says there were several family members of both women involved present on the scene.
