State officials say at least 194,000 people have lost their healthcare coverage this year.

That's due to the expiration of pandemic-era provisions for Medicaid- known in Oklahoma as "Soonercare."

The Oklahoma Health Care Authority says these people still have options.

"There's a special open enrollment period on the Affordable Care Act marketplace for those who lose Medicaid coverage due to eligibility renewals," said Christina Foss with the OK Health Care Authority. "That special enrollment period stretches from March of 2023 to July of 2024."

70,000 people are up for renewals this year.

Officials say they must log in to their MySoonerCare page and organize their documents or risk disenrollment.
