Sooners have certainly faced figurative mountains before but tomorrow at 10 a.m. Mountain Time they'll be facing off with BYU in the literal mountains.
Playing at altitude is always an adjustment and a hungry team ready to spoil postseason hopes doesn't make it easier.
Local forecasts have scattered showers and temperatures in the 40s. Now on the surface, OU should roll, they are 24-point favorites. BYU is not doing so well. They've lost three straight but they have quarterback Kedon Slovis, starting running backs, and you know in a big game like this they would love to pull off the upset.
"It was a great opportunity. They're ranked they're in the hunt for the conference championship. They're in our home stadium, one win away from extending the season and getting to a bowl game. So there's a lot to play for," said BYU Head Coach Kalani Sitake.
With a local 10 a.m. start. The Sooners had better come ready to go. We've seen them play on the road, losing against OSU and Kansas.
