Tulsa Police are looking for the person who shot and killed a 27-year-old man in a parking lot near 61st and Peoria.
Officers say the victim and the shooter were on security footage having words before the shooting.
Family members say Tre Pizana’s life was taken way too soon.
When officers got to the scene, they found a man dead with gunshot wounds.
Daja Pizana says that man was her brother, Tre.
"My brother was kind and loving, very outgoing; his smile was almost as bright as the sun,” said Daja. “Literally would give you his shirt off his back."
Police say business security footage showed Tre and the shooter having words before Tre flashed a gun, and that’s when the other person pulled out a gun and fired it.
Police say shooting someone in a busy area puts others at risk.
"Makes it a little more dangerous for sure when it's broad daylight in the afternoon like this,” said Officer Danny Bean with Tulsa Police. “There's people outside, nice weather, innocent people around. We are always concerned with trying to keep people safe. That's a big concern."
Daja says her brother wasn’t a violent person, and she can’t believe something like this would happen.
"He didn't mean no harm to nobody,” said Daja. “Confrontation, he didn't like it at all; he never involved himself in it. I just don't think that he deserved that."
Tre’s family hopes there will be justice for the person responsible for killing him.
"We can't replace him, and he can't come back to us no more,” said Daja. “But he's in a better place, but I just want him to get the justice that he deserves."
If you have any information on who the shooter is or where they are, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
