Tulsa Realtors® And First-Time Buyers To Be Featured In Hulu Reality TV Show

Some of Oklahoma's own will be featured in the fourth season of the Hulu show "First-Time Buyer" by the National Association of Realtors®.

Three Tulsa Realtors® and some first-time home buyers will star in three of the episodes.

The shooting in Tulsa wrapped up in September, and eight new episodes will be streaming on Jan. 30.

Those involved told News On 6 it has been hard keeping this big secret, and they learned a lot from their experience.

Nicole Hopkins and her 8-year-old niece, Aliyah, are the focus of episode 5.

"I did not know what we were getting into when we signed up to do a reality TV show,” said Nicole. “I just knew it would be so fun if Aliyah got to be on TV, and we trusted Cindy with the process."

Former TV news reporter Cindy Morrison is Nicole's Realtor®.

"Nicole was not only looking for a home for herself,” said Cindy. “She had her sister living with her, and she helps raise her niece, so it's a multigenerational home. Plus, she has her parents come stay with her a lot, so there were very specific parameters of what she needed in that first home."

After making offers on ten homes, Nicole and Aliyah got into a house they wanted and finally had the chance to get a dog.

"I get to paint on the walls, and we get to play outside with my dog,” said Aliyah.

They said they are grateful for the experience from the show.

"One of the most valuable parts for me was that we got to learn so much from the film crew and the producers,” said Nicole.

Nicole, Aliyah and Cindy said they cannot wait to see what their friends and family think of their journey highlighted in the Hulu series.

"That's a very long time to be keeping a secret like that, I will let you, and I'm so excited to see the show for people to find out where actually Nicole ends up because there are a lot of ups and downs and a lot of drama,” said Cindy.

A Realtor® from Oklahoma City was also featured in this new season.

Some of the Realtors® and buyers involved plan to have watch parties on Jan. 30 when the new season is released.
