Arts Festival Brings Art, Food, Entertainment To Downtown Edmond This Weekend

Every year Downtown Edmond hosts over 150 artists, food, and free concerts over three days to benefit the community.

The Downtown Edmond Arts Festival starts Friday, and our Jordan Ryan took the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to 1st Street in Edmond to show viewers what to expect.

Festival Director Michelle Schaefer saidmany local artists are participating,g as well as artists from 14 different states outside of Oklahoma.

She said that in addition to art, 25 food trucks and 25 local restaurants will be open for the festival.

"Something for everybody to eat, something for everybody to see," Schaefer said.

She said there will also be children's activities like prince and princesses, giant chess and checkers and more.

There is free entertainment with three stages and a main stage for concerts.

She also said an exciting part this year is that parking at 1st Street and South University Drive in Edmond will be free, and a shuttle will drop off at the festival.
