Oklahoma City police need the public's help catching the suspect who shot a seven-year-old girl in the face last month. Investigators have exhausted all leads in the case. However, one piece of evidence could be the key to an arrest.

Police released a new video on Tuesday of a car they said was involved in the April 21st drive-by shooting in southwest Oklahoma City. Joycelyn Davenport, 7, was shot while she played outside her home.

A single gunshot could be heard in the video police released on social media. Several minutes later a dark-colored sedan drove through the Will Rogers Courts near southwest 15th and Westwood Boulevard. Investigators believe whoever fired the shot was in the car. The bullet hit an innocent little girl.

“My daughter came in the house running in,” said Joseph Davenport, the victim’s father. “Blood was dripping all over the floor.”

Davenport's parents spoke to News 9 after the shooting. They were heartbroken to see her in a hospital bed with a shattered jaw and a swollen face. However, Davenport’s parents never underestimated the seven-year-old's fighting spirit.

“She’s really strong, strong-willed,” said Randee McLeod, the victim’s mother. “So, she’s gonna be ok.”

Their prayers were answered. “Everyone can you please just pray for her and make sure she has a speedy recovery?” said Davenport.

Davenport went back to school less than a month after the shooting and was given the "Warrior of the Year" award. Her mother said her daughter’s jaw was still wired shut. Davenport eats with a feeding tube but can talk and is in good spirits.

Police now urge the public to take a close look at the video and help bring justice for Joycelyn. They said someone out there knows who was in this car but may be too afraid to come forward.
