1 Dead After I-40 Motorcycle Accident, Victim Identified

One person died after a mechanical malfunction while riding a motorcycle in Oklahoma City Monday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Jerry Martin, 53, was riding a motorcycle westbound on Interstate 40 near Interstate 235 in Oklahoma County when he encountered a mechanical malfunction that caused him to crash, OHP said.

OHP said that Martin was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene due to an injury to the head.
